What is Chic by Choice?

Chic by Choice is a one-of-a-kind hire destination that allows women to access the most breathtaking designer dresses, straight from the catwalks, at 85% off retail price .

Our site offers a selection of more than 40 top-designers, such as Dior, Jenny Packham, Elie Saab, Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Etro and Peter Pilotto.

We are the solution for all women who want to feel unique, beautiful and confident at any special occasion.

How does Chic by Choice work?
  • 1. Browse hundreds of designer dresses and choose the one for your delivery date (we recommend 2 days before your event).
  • 2. Book your hire period (4 or 8 days) and select your size. Add a free 2nd size to ensure the perfect fit. Book with at least 48 hours in advance.
  • 3. After your experience, we pick up the dress at the same address. Return, dry cleaning and minor repairs, are free from any costs.
Does Chic by Choice have a showroom?

We always recommend our membership. With it, you can access personalized recommendations, exclusive insider promotions and a £20 welcome gift, only available for members.

How do I become a Member?

Chic by Choice membership is free, you can sign up here. In the spirit of community, answer a StyleProfile with your own unique expression, so we can recommend you well-matched styles, as well as customise your future shopping experience.

How do I share Chic by Choice with my friends and earn credits?

Each invited friend receives £20 credits. After your friend´s first rental, you earn £20 credits, for future rentals. Go to invite friends and share Chic by Choice via email, Facebook or Twitter.

How can I change my email and/or password?

Go to your account page and select Settings, to update your password or email.


What is the FREE 2ND SIZE?

We offer a free backup size with each order to ensure 100% fit satisfaction. For example, if your regular size is a UK6, we will add a UK8 to your order, at no extra cost.

Is renting at Chic by Choice RISK-FREE?

Our goal is to provide you a first-class customer experience. If the dress doesn´t meet your expectations we will refund you the rental fee.

Contact us via email [email protected] or phone 020 3095 7117, on your delivery day and we will refund you the rental fee in 48 hours, after receiving the dresses at our warehouse.

How to choose the perfect dress?
  • 1. After you answered your StyleProfile, you can browse recommended styles.
  • 2. You also can use our search filters to help narrow down your choices by trend, color, designer and body type.

How do I know the dress is the right size?

Each dress style is measured individually. We offer a free second size with each order. We provide a personalized size chart so you can experience a perfect fit. Consult it here.

If the dress doesn´t meet my expectations, can I ask for a refund?

Renting with Chic by Choice is 100% safe. If the dress is not the right size, please contact us via email [email protected] or phone 020 3095 7117, on your delivery day and we will give you the chance to replace your request or receive a refund of the rental fee.

When you receive your dress and decide that your size or model is not the right, we can ship you another available style in the next 24 hours or you can choose to be refunded. For a valid exchange/refund, please make sure you contact us until 3pm on the delivery day.

Worried about the length of the long dresses?

We stock the gowns in 3 different lengths – Petite, Regular and Long. Consult our length chart for more information.

At your reservation, select your preferred length, and we will send you the best fit.

Can I try on dresses and only pay for the one I wear?

You can try up to 4 dresses (2 styles) and only pay for the one you wear. If none of the dresses fit, we will refund you the rental fee. You have 24 hours to decide which dress to wear.

You will receive all dresses with a Chic by Choice tag. For a valid refund of the unworn dresses, please remove only the tag of the dress you intend to wear.

Can I order a dress 24 hours before my event?

If you have a last-minute event and need a dress, contact us via email [email protected] or phone 020 3095 7117.

Our Style Assistant team may have a solution for you.

Can I try on a dress before my event date?

Renting with Chic by Choice is risk free. If you wish to try on a dress in advance, Chic by Choice can offer a Try On Service . This service is £14.90 per order and you can tick this option at the dress page. You can book up to 2 styles (a total of 4 dresses) and only the dress with the highest value will be charged. If neither of the dresses meet your expectations, we will refund you the rental fee.

You will receive all dresses with a Chic by Choice tag. For a valid refund of the dresses, please don´t remove the tags.

How does Chic by Choice's advanced TRY ON SERVICE work?
  • 1. Choose your delivery event date and select the option 'Try On Service'. We will recommend you a Try On Date, but you can change the date at checkout according to dress availability.
  • 2. Click on 'Hire + Try On Service' to proceed with the reservation. At Checkout, select the option 'Add free 2nd dress for Try On Service’. Choose a second dress and finish the reservation. Only the dress with the higher value will be charged.
  • 3. We´ll ship them straight to your door. After 24 hours we will pick them up for free. Our Advanced Try On Service is £14.90.
  • 4. We will resend you your choice on your event day! If neither of the dresses meet your expectations, we will refund you the rental fee.
Are the dresses new?

Our dresses are either new or in like new conditions. They go through a strict quality control, before they are sent to you directly from our warehouse. All dresses are cleaned by a first-class dry cleaning service.

Who are the Chic by Choice personal Style Assistants?

From slim-fitting to stretch- jersey, our personal Style Assistants are experts ready to help you discover a perfect fit for any occasion. They deliver an online one-on-one communication that points each individual customer to the perfect dress, based on style preferences, body type, occasion and seasonal trend. All included in your experience.

How far in advance should I schedule my reservation?

You should book early due to limited availability. Book with at least 48 hours in advance. We accept reservations up to 8 months before your event. We ship orders to most European countries, see our delivery details, here.

How long can be the rental?

We provide a 4 or 8-day rental period.

Will my order arrive on time?

We ensure delivery by 5pm on your delivery day.

You will receive two prior notices via email or phone: one from the Chic by Choice team, one day before your delivery day to confirm the shipping and another one from the DHL team, on your delivery day, to ensure you are at the provided address.

Who cleans the dresses?

Dry Cleaning is on us. Each item is processed before it´s sent directly to you. We only team up with exclusive and first class dry cleaning services, which guarantee reliable and finest quality, through highly skilled staff.

Will I need to iron the dress?

We ensure that your dress arrives wrinkle free, without any hassle. If you receive a dress in any other conditions, contact us immediately.

What about minor damages and spills?

Don´t worry about possible damages or spills. We understand that some incidents may be inevitable. Our goal is that you have an amazing time wearing your dress and this means being able to have a carefree event!

Insurance is included. We cover minor damages and spills. Our dry cleaning services are free.

Please note, this covers minor accidental damage such as a zip break or any normal stains. Theft or significant damage is not covered and deducted from the credit card you provided.

Why is my promo code not working?
  • Your promo code may not be working because:
  • - The promotion has expired.
  • - The order doesn't meet minimum value requirements.
  • - Only one promo code can be added to each order.
  • If none of the above reasons apply, please contact us.
Does Chic by Choice offers student discount?

We offer a student discount of 25%. To use your discount, simply apply your promocode, available at the top of our homepage or through the login in student beans, into the ‘Promo Code’ box at the checkout.

Can I use my student discount with another discount code?

Student discount codes cannot be accumulate with other discount codes or promotions.

How do I use credits?

At the Check Out, any credits available will be discounted on your order summary. If you do not use entire credit, the remaining will be saved on your account for future rentals. Our credits do not expire.

Can I make a change to my order once it has been placed?

To make any adjustments to your order please contact us. As long as the order is not ready for shipment, we will change whatever you need.

How do I cancel an order?

You can cancel your order by contacting us.

If you cancel your order3 days or more from your rental date, you will receive a full refund credit to your original payment method. If you cancel less than 3 days from your rental date, you will receive a 50% refund. The remaining 50% will be credit to your Chic by Choice account for future rentals. For more details, consult our Rental Agreement.

You can cancel your Try On Service, 3 days or more before your try on date.

Can I purchase a dress?

At this time, we only offer our dresses for rental. Stay up to date with our newsletter about the latest news and promotions.


Was I charged twice?

Usually, your credit card will only be charged once. This will be clear in 48-72 hours. Any other charges are pending authorization, a common bank practice to ensure sufficient funds and authenticity.

Why was my card declined?

If your credit card was declined, please confirm if the billing zip code you provided is the same on your bank file. If this not applies, contact us.

Where can I find my order number?

You can find your order number in your account page. Select Orders on the left hand side of your account. This number is essential when you need to contact us.

When will I receive my refund?

Usually, after we have received your dress back at our warehouse, we will process the refund within 8 working days.

For cancellation of orders, the refund will also be processed within 8 working days.

The refund will be in the form of your original payment.


What delivery options does Chic by Choice have?

Our affiliate courier is DHL. Our system automatically selects the least expensive shipping option for you, based on arrival date and country.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard delivery is just £9, 90.

Do you deliver outside the United Kingdom?

Yes, we ship orders to most European Countries. For more details, see the list below.

Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

At this moment, we don´t ship to P.O. boxes. We only deliver straight to your door. Please make sure you enter a valid residence, company or hotel address at Checkout.

Can you deliver to another address?

We ship to the address of your choice, provided at the reservation. If it´s a Hotel or similar addresses please make sure the responsible is expecting your delivery.

Does Chic by Choice require signature for delivery?

Our delivery will require a valid signature.

How long does delivery take?

Deliveries are made between 8am and 5pm during weekdays and Saturdays. We provide tracking information so you can see when your package is out for delivery.

How do I return my order?
  • After your experience, we pick up the dress at the same address provided. Follow these 3 steps:
  • 1. Place both dresses in the matching garment bag.
  • 2. Replace the dresses in the original delivery box.
  • 3. Our courier will pick up the package.
  • Return and Dry Cleaning are free from any costs.
What if my rental ends on a Sunday or holiday?

The order will be picked up at the following weekday.

How long does my return take?

We receive returns within 2 weekdays. An email will confirm this.

If your return is early due to fit and you filled out your Return for Fit Request Form, your credit will be processed within 5-7 weekdays of receiving your entire order back in our warehouse.
